ANNUAL BIG BUCK CONTEST
REGISTRATION OPENS IN JULY 2022!
For the Hopewell Fish and Game Annual Big Buck Contest, there are now FOUR categories!
CATEGORIES:
PA Archery
PA Firearms
Out-of-State Archery
Out-of-State Firearms
Youth (must be age 12 to 17 and a family member)
The adult categories cost just $3.00 per category to enter PRIOR to harvesting your animal.
The winner in each category can also elect to get a full shoulder mount of his or her trophy for $150, thanks to Ness Taxidermy (PA) & Bob Miller Taxidermy (Out-of-State).
RULES:
You must have a valid tag on the antlers at the time of scoring on February 28th at the General Membership meeting starting at 6:30pm.
The taxidermist will only mount the deer you entered the contest with. We recommend that if you entered the contest and you harvest an animal, have it caped out by a professional taxidermist and stored until the measuring date. You can store the hide in your freezer or ask one of the sponsor taxidermists to hold it for you.
You must be entered into the contest BEFORE the date of harvest of your animal.
MEASURING:
BIG BUCK CONTEST MEASURING FOR 2022 is February 28th at the General Membership meeting starting at 6:30pm.
